Booking Terms

These terms apply to all table reservations and room bookings made with The Lord Nelson Inn, 1 High St, Marshfield, Chippenham SN14 8NP. By making a booking you agree to these terms.

Table reservations

  • Reservations are held for 15 minutes after the booked time. After this we may release the table.
  • Please let us know as soon as possible if your party size or timing changes.
  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance where possible.
  • For larger parties (typically 8 or more) we may ask for a pre-order or a small deposit; we will confirm this with you at the time of booking.

Room bookings

  • Check-in from 3:00pm. Check-out by 11:00am unless agreed otherwise.
  • Bookings are held on the details provided; card details may be requested to secure a room.
  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations or no-shows may be charged for the first night's stay.
  • Rooms are non-smoking throughout. A cleaning charge will apply if this is not observed.
  • We accept well-behaved dogs in selected rooms by prior arrangement; please ask when booking.

Prices & payment

Prices shown include VAT at the prevailing rate. Payment is taken on departure (rooms) or after your meal (tables) unless otherwise agreed. We accept most major debit and credit cards.

Allergies & dietary requirements

Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book. Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs and other allergens; while we take great care, we cannot guarantee any dish is entirely free from traces.

Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave where behaviour is abusive, unsafe or disruptive to other guests or staff.

Liability

We do our utmost to look after guests and belongings, but we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal property except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
